Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Fy Network, Inc., a Delaware corporation, 305 Lechner Circle, Annandale, NJ 08801 ("Rendus", "we", "us"), which provides Rendus at rendus.org. By using Rendus you agree to them.
1. What Rendus is
Rendus helps people who share costs keep track of them: shared bills, shared receipts, and simple agreements between two people. You tell Rendus about a bill, Rendus works out each person's part, shows it to you, and, only after you approve it, sends each person a message with their part and how to pay.
Rendus is not a bank, a payment processor, a lender, or a collection agency. Rendus never holds, receives, sends or moves money between people. People pay each other directly, outside Rendus, using the payment methods they list. Rendus charges no fee on money that moves between people. Rendus charges only for its own service, as described in section 7.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. When you sign in you confirm that you are. If you are not, do not use Rendus. We may close accounts we believe belong to someone under 18.
3. Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep your email secure: anyone who can open that link can use your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
4. Bills, splits and the AI
Rendus uses software, including AI models, to read bills, photos and messages and to suggest how to split them. These suggestions can be wrong. Nothing is sent to anyone until you confirm it. You are responsible for checking the amounts and the people before you approve, and for the accuracy of what you enter. Rendus is not responsible for a mistake in a split that you approved, or for a bill that was read wrongly and not corrected before sending.
When you invite or add someone, you are responsible for having the right to give us their name and contact details, and for the bills you share with them being real.
5. Agreements between two people (peer agreements)
Rendus lets one person record that they lent money to another, and lets the two of them agree on a schedule. Rendus is not a party to these agreements, does not lend money, does not guarantee repayment, and does not collect. Rendus does not charge interest or fees on these agreements and there is no place in the service to set any. An agreement exists only when the other person accepts it. It is a record between the two people, and any rights either person has come from the law and from what they agreed to, not from Rendus.
Rendus can send the borrower reminders about the dates they agreed to. These are reminders, not demands. The borrower can stop them with one click and can ask the lender for different dates. Reminders stop at once if the borrower replies STOP, blocks the lender, or uses the stop link. You must not use Rendus to harass anyone, to threaten anyone, or to pressure someone who has said stop.
6. Messages
When you approve a bill or send an agreement, Rendus sends the people on it a text message, an email, or both, on your behalf. By using that feature you confirm that you have a reason to contact them. Texts include how to stop them: reply STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. A person you contact can also block or mute you from any link page, without an account. A new account may be limited in who and how many people it can contact in its first days. We may stop sending messages that we believe are unwanted or abusive.
7. Plans and payment

The person who creates a group is the one whose plan pays for it. Plus renews automatically until you cancel; you can cancel at any time from the Plan page in one click, and it then ends at the end of the period you paid for. We send a reminder email before a yearly plan renews. Payments are charged by Fy Network, Inc. and processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. Unused monthly allowances do not carry over; top-ups do not expire. Except where the law requires it, payments are not refundable.
8. What you may not do
- Use Rendus to break the law, to deceive anyone, or to impersonate a person or a business.
- Send messages through Rendus to people who do not expect them, or keep contacting someone who has asked you to stop.
- Create bills or agreements that are not real.
- Try to break, probe or overload the service, or work around its limits.
- Use Rendus to move money for anyone as a business. Rendus is for people sharing costs.
9. Your data
How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy. You can download your data and delete your account at any time from the Plan page. Deleting erases your name, email, phone and sign-ins. The bills, shares and payments you took part in remain for the other people on them, with your name replaced by "Former member", so that what they owe and are owed stays correct.
10. Connected mailboxes, banks and AI keys
If you connect Gmail or Outlook, you let Rendus read messages that look like bills, read-only. Rendus cannot send, delete or change anything in your mailbox, and you can disconnect at any time.
If you connect a bank, the connection is made through Plaid, read-only, to match payments against bills and agreements. Rendus cannot move money at your bank. You can disconnect at any time. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's own terms and the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
If you add your own AI key or connect your own OpenRouter account, your use of that provider is under your agreement with it, and any charges it makes are yours.

11. Ending
You can stop using Rendus whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we close your account we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
12. No guarantee
Rendus is provided as is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that a message will be delivered, or that a person will pay.
13. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Fy Network, Inc. and its officers, employees and agents are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for money that someone does not pay, for disputes between people who use Rendus, or for mistakes in amounts you approved. Our total liability for anything arising from the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Changes
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in Rendus or by email before it applies. Using Rendus after that means you accept it.
15. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless the law of where you live says otherwise.
